The particle size distribution of the final grade cement is one of the most important parameters for quality, as it guarantees, among other things, the final strength of the concrete. To ensure high quality of cement, clinker is milled so finely that nearly all of it passes through a 200 mesh (0.069 mm) screen that will hold water.
In-process particle analysis enables continuous measuring and controlling of final grade cement fineness to achieve tight specifications and produce consistent and high quality product.
Using ANMS’s in-process particle size analyzer can reduce the variability of measurement results to an estimated 3% error. As a result, manufacturers are able to grind close to the limits of specification and produce a “Just in Spec” yield. This enables minimizing the energy consumption while simultaneously maximizing production rates.
